Hello and Welcome! Finding help amid the chaos and overwhelmingness of life might be difficult, but if you're looking, you're already making progress! You may have started your search because you are dealing with a personal issue or want to be proactive in your mental well-being. Whatever the case may be, I'd like to support you.
I have a Master's degree in Clinical Social work, and I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers (833850) and Alberta College of Social workers (15980). I have been in the helping profession since 2014, amassing clinical experience in child and family agencies, residential centers, outpatient clinics, and hospitals. I commit to providing Individual, family, and group therapy to individuals from diverse backgrounds using specialized training and experience in trauma, abuse, emotional dysregulation, and addiction. I have worked with indigenous families and communities, providing a safe environment to process and understand how the different dynamics in a client's family contribute to the present situation.
My approach to treatment is based on the mutual development of therapy goals. Believing that no one approach is ideal for every Individual, I draw from different clinical modalities like Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), EMDR, Inner child work, motivational interviewing, Person-centered approach, and trauma-informed therapy.
